Economy drives business to repair shops
Husband and wife team Dana Pritchard and Sean Rizk, owners of Woodlands Performance and Suspension, said they’re seeing similar excitement over “new” old cars. “People are saying, I can’t buy the most expensive sports car, but I can jazz this one up a little bit,” Pritchard said. “There’s actually a lot you can do with an older car that’s in good condition.”

Car clubs throttle up for charity
Car enthusiasts around Montgomery County are gathering to do more than trade stories about their classic machines. At several local clubs, the effort is on to raise money for a variety of local charities and scholarships. In the last seven years, The Woodlands Car Club has donated more than $31,000 to various groups and hopes to continue that trend this year.

Woodlands Car Club revs up Donations for WCF
Woodforest Charitable Foundation recently made a check presentation to three local nonprofit agencies that serve Montgomery County, namely: The Montgomery County Women’s Center, The Friendship Center and Montgomery County Youth Services.

The check presentation took place at the City of Shenandoah’s City Council meeting and the donation was made possible through the valiant efforts of The Woodlands Car Club generating more than $9,000 from local car shows, specifically their most recent “Evening Fall Car Show” event held in Shenandoah.

Resident Helps Women Live Free From Violence
Dana Pritchard, Woodlands' resident and President of The Woodlands Car Club, recently donated furniture to the Montgomery County Women's Center responding the agency's great need for gently used furniture items. The Women's Center, which serves victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, assists women and their children with household items so as to rebuild their lives when leaving the agency's emergency shelter for battered and abused women.

The Woodlands Car Club celebrates 10 years
The Woodlands Car Club celebrated its 10 year anniversary with a private classic car tour at Tony Gullo’s car museum in Magnolia. The private event was an invitation- only tour of Gullo’s more than 250 classic cars in a sprawling facility complete with mock gas station, 50s diner, Christmas village and muscle cars outfitted with car hops and window trays.
